Welcome friends, I am so glad that you are here! This is the spot to start to read about our life here at On Live Oak Acre.
My name is Lauren, I am a born and raised Texan and have been married to my husband Clint for 12 years. We have two children, Ryan who is 10 & Taylor who is 5, and we call North Texas our home. We currently live on a property that’s almost an acre, so we round up and call her “On Live Oak Acre.”
As far as pets on the property, we have a wide variety of creatures. Three spoiled rotten dogs call our house home: Lola (basset mix), Mila (pit-bull mix), and Zoey (beagle). Ryan has two guinea pigs named Sweet Pea and Fluffy and also has a mini-lop rabbit named Coconut. She has the dream of owning a pet care business and does some pet sitting for people locally. We also have a box turtle named Skittles, he’s lived on our little hobby farm for the past three years. Right now, he’s in brumation, which is just a fancy word for a period of dormancy during the cold winter months. And, in February of 2022 we added three welsh harlequin ducks to our little farm. They hatched and we got them here two days later! Their names are Marshall (male), Snickers (female), and Valentine (female). We actually ended up rescuing another duck, his name is Gene. We have quite the busy farm now!
As far as professions go, we are a mixed bunch! My husband works full time for a local surveying company and I work as a preschool co-director at our local church. We own a company related to commercial surveying and I’m a social retail marketer. I enjoy having the privilege of sharing discount links with friends and family.
We are very active in our local church and also enjoy being outdoors in God’s beautiful creation. I enjoy encouraging other women and helping them learn to garden, create homemaking systems that work with busy schedules, and deepen their relationship with Jesus. We are excited to share our journey with you and can’t wait to get to know you as well!
