Happy Monday morning friends! As you wake up this morning, remember that you are given the gift of an empty week, full of possibilities right in front of you. So, hop out of bed, put a smile on your face and get today started! If you’re new to the blog and the process of the Whole Home Refresh, start here!

We are on the third repetition of The Whole Home Refresh of cleaning bathrooms as we are back at Monday morning. Remember that on Mondays as we clean our bathrooms you will: scrub the toilets, wipe down counters, clean the mirrors, take out the trash and replace the towels with fresh, clean towels. Here’s a tip: when you’re feeling discouraged about cleaning bathrooms, remind yourself that you’re helping your family by modeling healthy habits, cleaning routines and sanitary practices. Get those kids involved, a two year old can wipe a counter with a baby wipe. Make it fun with a dance playlist and get everyone involved!
Add some greenery to your bathroom to quickly freshen up the space. I have a little antique table in my bathroom with two plants that do well with low light. You could always add silk greenery to your bathroom as well and you won’t have to maintain it.
Today is the 16th of January, so we will be removing 16 (16!!!!) things from our home that are cluttering up our space and our minds. Check out this article about the negative impact of clutter on mental health if you need some encouragement (or maybe a kick in the booty) to get clutter out of your home. Find 16 items that you no longer use, are broken, are trash or someone else could use and place them in the donation bin or in the trash.
Continue your daily routine at night by sweeping your kitchen floor, running the dishwasher, cleaning your sink and putting in a load of laundry. In the mornings, unload the dishwasher, flip the laundry and complete the load.
For the advanced refresh: work on the entry hall, take a step back and look at how your home invites guests. Walk in as if you’re a guest and observe the home. What could be added or deleted to improve the mood of your entryway? What is collecting dust? Is there an area that could use a lamp to brighten it up? You don’t have to go on a shopping spree to re-do your entry way, just move things around to make it more appealing. For me, a clutter free entry gives off the best vibes.
